Owners Nora and Phoebe tapped Michael Groth co to develop an innovative and thoughtful environment to match their forward-thinking all-draft wine bar concept. MGC culled inspiration from modernist architecture, bauhaus graphics, and turkish textile design to arrive at a space that is at once thought-provoking and inviting. Working closely with graphic design studio XXIX, MGC integrated branding into the space, from a 3D-printed logo for the menu board to floor-to-ceiling custom wallpaper featuring an elongated logo pattern. MGC also designed custom brass wall lights that playfully echo the geometry of the interior architecture. Lois was featured in Wallpaper’s City Guide to New York for 2015.
